Seek out the source which shines forever
Trials and difficulties in life are tests from Allah, it forces us to stand up, to fight our inner negative thoughts and control our nafs, so that we may get close to Him by calling on him for help by means of dua, dhikr, salaat and reading the Quran (if you want answers read the Quran, if you want to talk to Allah read salaat). Allah tests us so that we can become a better person, a strong Muslim.
If we drown ourselves in pity and push ourselves further into darkness and even turn away from Him because of it or blame Him, it means we don’t appreciate the lesson because He is giving us the lesson for us to grow, for us to become better, for us to to call on Him.
“Sunlight fell upon the wall; the wall received a borrowed splendor. Why set your heart on a piece of earth, O simple one? Seek out the source which shines forever.” - Rumi
When we are studying for a degree and the time comes when there is that final exam, we spend a good deal of time studying, researching, working hard at it, investing money, sacrificing sleep. We don’t want to fail, so we work hard, and try to get an A, at least we aim for the highest mark but we endure the hours, the time, the sacrifice we go through because for us passing that exam is worth it, it will take us to the next step. Isn’t life the same, shouldn’t we also be working hard for our next step, the Aakirah? Allah put us in this world because He thinks we are worth it, let us not make him disappointed for giving us the chance.
The Prophet ﷺ said, “When Allah loves a servant, He tests him.” [Tirmidhi].
“And of the people is he who worships Allah on an edge. If he is touched by good, he is reassured by it; but if he is struck by trial, he turns on his face [to the other direction]. He has lost [this] world and the Hereafter. That is what is the manifest loss.” (22:11)
We are always a work in progress, we mess up, it doesn’t mean that Allah doesn’t see our efforts for He alone surely knows what is inside our hearts. Allah is most merciful, and He says that He loves to forgive, so ask for forgiveness.
In Hadithe-e-Qudsi Allah says,
“O my servants! Search for me, you will find me; and when you find find me, you will have found everything!”
When you walk towards Allah, Allah runs towards you.
Use a difficult situation as a means of learning, growing, to look within it and see what you can do within that situation by baring patience, to become better, learning from it if you made a mistake and look at it as an opportunity to become close to Allah.
What we have in this world is temporary, I mean the material things, remember that, and what we take with us (our good and bad deeds, our intentions, our actions) to the afterlife is everlasting, let it be that what we take with us qualities we can be happy about when we stand before Allah.
May Allah Subha nahu wa ta’Alah grant us ease and sabr in times of hardships and may He help us in attaining A’s on life’s exam. Ameen

Thanks, Steve.
Posting designs like this one makes me paranoid, because I can’t shake the feeling that it’s not original. I enjoyed the process regardless, but please let me know if somebody else beat me to the idea!
Thoughts?
Look for him!
think you’re alone?
think no one knows what you’re going through?
think no one knows you?
think no one sees you for you?
then you don’t know him,
he sees and he knows everything!
and he’ll always be there through everything!
Look for him!
